Cat cafés are taking the world by storm. The hype originated in Japan where the world’s first cat-infested café opened in Taiwan in 1998. Since then these cafés have been opening up all over the world, from the coast of California to the UK.

If petting cute cats is the only thing missing from your local coffee shop, we highly recommend visiting a cat café. The best part is, most cat cafés don’t just bring the joys of cats to people everywhere, but they also work with local animal shelters to promote adoption.
